Eugénie Grandet by Honoré de Balzac
3.0

Sometimes hard to pull yourself trough the detailed description of finances, but Balzac has this mix of romantic and realistic writing that kept me going. Occasionally, he'd surprise me with his striking portrayal of characters and poem like descriptions.
To conclude: I have mixed feelings about this book. It didn't turn out amazing as I had hoped, but it wasn't terribly bad either.
