Mine Till Midnight by Lisa Kleypas
5.0
Lisa Kleypas' Wallflowers was one of my favourite series and her return to the familiar setting along with glimpses of the original wallflowers in this new series was more than welcome. The Hathaways are a delightful family to be introduced to and Kleypas does not disappoint! There's a reason her historicals are my catnip; the scenery is riveting and the characters are all lovable in their own way. Amelia is headstrong and caring and a great heroine to bring us into the fold of the Hathaway family. Leo, despite being incredibly troubled and more of a trouble to everyone else, is undoubtedly sympathetic. Poppy and Bea at first were quite interchangeable but quickly developed quirks that allowed the reader to distinguish between them and fall in love with their adorably young temperaments.
The tension and conflict of the story seemed every natural and not manufactured. Cam Rohan was always an incredibly alluring character in Kleypas' Devil In Winter and I'm grateful that he now has his own story of romance and happily ever after.
