Juniper reminds me of the protagonist in Hank Green's An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, only in this case April is already at her lowest before tripping on fame! The deeply flawed characters, unreliable narrator, and even breaking the fourth wall is on-brand for R. F. Kuang too, who also sprinkles in some dark humor and horror.
This book got stuck in my head like a catchy song, and speaking of... Lacy by Olivia Rodrigo fits too!
