The Book of Two Ways by Jodi Picoult
5.0

This premise is one I can't resist, a sort of parallel timelines branching out from a choice - where it's not the typical straight-forward contemporary, but it's not really sci-fi either, and it can explore what choices mean for us, and let us see different things that wouldn't show up in one timeline or the other. I really enjoyed this take on it, even though the author is hit or miss for me. The main character was flawed and wasn't sure what she really wanted/needed, which is where the timelines branch off, and I loved that about her.
