I lost myself in the dark and gloomy atmosphere of it, feeling like I know Furlong and I have been Furlong. This was so human. Moreover, relating a horrible historical fact, the existence of Magdalene Laundries which was going on for two centuries, to a mundane life of a simple man living with his family, is fascinating to me. The way he is affected by it, relates himself to it and remembers his own past life, the way he can’t shrug this up and go on with his life, this is all so human, so lovely.
