The Jetsetters by Amanda Eyre Ward

4.0

Andrew Greer left a review of this, saying "The funniest novel that broke your heart" - I couldn't agree more. This novel kept me hooked - I was holding my breath through the entirety of it, to see what hilarious, sad events would transpire on this cruise that Charlotte, Reagan, Lee, and Cord were on. Ward's descriptions of the family dynamics, while also making sure that each character was given the proper spotlight, was fantastic. Who knew that a cruise buffet with singing cast members could be a perfect place for estranged family members to reunite?

Even after finishing, the emotions I felt stayed with me, and I found myself wondering if Cord changed, and whether Reagan was happy, and if Lee found what she was looking for (Charlotte I cared less for, although I hope she's happy as well!)

Would I read this again? Probably not. Am I glad I read this book though? Yes!
