Lenin for Beginners by Oscar Zárate, Richard Appignanesi

A good introduction to Lenin and the Russian Revolution. I found a few faults with this, though, admittedly, they may be due to my lack of background knowledge on the Russian Revolution rather than due to any error on the part of the illustrator & author.
The subject material is so dense I imagine it was a daunting task to introduce it in illustrated/comic form. The author and illustrator went through Lenin's life and therefore had to bring in tons of different and important characters from the Russian Revolution. I found myself wanting more background information and more knowledge of all the character's political views and actions- not just Lenin's. I feel it would have helped things to run a little smoother- it would have been less disjointed.
I got lost quite often in the timeline as well. The author would start 1 page with "November 2, 1904" and then 2 pages later the text would start with "March 13..." and I would find I had to flip back and forth a lot to make sure I was still in command of the year.
Definitely something I would want to read again in order to feel in command of the content. I'm not sure I would be willing to read it again though...
