Between the cover and synopsis, I had high hopes for the story. It seemed to be exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, the writing and plot points weren't good enough for me to love the story. The confusion I felt in the first little bit I could excuse as it building to something. However, it never progressed. The writing was all over the place. I felt that I was missing whole chunks of the story even though I hadn't skipped a page. The plot was disjointed and all over the place where I couldn't keep up with what was happening. Bass and Rocklin were so cute together and the reason I finished the book. I wanted their happily ever after. Rocklin seemed like a typical socialite and princess but she was so much more. Bass fought many hard battles and I wanted to hug him. His past really hurt. I wish the entire book would have been as great as the characters themselves. I'm not sure if I want to read the next book in this series.
