Kimberly's Capital Punishment by Richard Milward

4.0

I got this book from a $1 book fair and picked it up solely on the cover and title. I didn't read the blurb at all before reading, so I went in not knowing what to expect. This book is clever, witty, and dark - which is exactly what I like. I loved the writing style, and Kimberly made observations about the world that I related to. With every turn of the page, I thought I would give this five stars.
That's until I got to the 'choose your own ending' part. I was a bit annoyed because I don't like decisions. I only read one of the endings and can't be bothered to go back and read any others (even though by the sounds of it, the other ones are better.) I didn't HATE the ending but I just didn't quite get it.
I can totally see why this book is so polarizing - I think it's an acquired taste.
I'm giving 4 stars cause I liked being Kimberly for a bit.
