DNF @39% and here are some of the reasons why.
Number one is the fact that the female lead had no spine The more I read the more I was disgusted by her letting everyone just walk all over her and tell her what she could or couldn't do and how she had to live her life And I get that's a common thing in a lot of books like this but usually there's some fire or spirit that's revealed and I saw none of that really or at least by almost 40% wasn't properly developed.
Number two is the fact that no real world building or information is truly given we're just fed pieces at a time throughout the book and it's very confusing. And within the span of a few days or maybe a week or two she doesn't deal with the fact that the man who is supposedly her mate she saw him rip out her father's heart and hasn't dealt with it and is now consumed with thoughts of being physical with him and keeps going back and forth between the fact that she's ashamed that she wants him but is doing it anyway. She just annoys me so much that I cannot keep reading.
And number three is the fact that there was no real character development or solid plot that I can really pinpoint even at 40% completed there's hints of a prophecy and that has to do with her being the swan but no other real information is given out and I don't even really understand what the overall plot is of this story and where it's heading.
