3 out of 5 stars.
This was another weird one.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it. But ultimately it felt a little hopeless. I would really like a sequel where this infection is investigated more and the girls get to do more than just sit on an island and be confused. They have some agency in the story, but ultimately it's not enough to actually make that much progress.
The story ended with some discoveries being made, but it felt as though it was cut short. Like there needed to be more story.
