I absolutely adored this book and the duology as a whole. The writing was intriguing, well paced, and both plot & character driven. The descriptive writing was really a huge stand out for me. I could visualize the characters, creatures and the worlds. Even the use of rich colors to describe everything added so much to the story. I was really satisfied with the ending of this duology even if the author did leave me with a few unanswered questions. I really do believe this duology is a hidden gem. I can't wait to recommend this to my bookish friends.
