This book is honestly just one long fever dream. I think the writing style was very unique and unlike anything I’ve ever read before. It’s the kind that probably wouldn’t work with many other genres. Also the audiobook is amazing and really plays off the writing style to make it an immersive experience. However, plot wise, not much actually happens in this book. The ‘scare’ factor is more so in anticipation of something happening than anything actually happening; this works to a point but after a while something actually needs to happen in order to make the scariness work. I can see why people like this but it is also easy to see why others like myself don’t. This is a very decisive book that you’ll either love or hate.
