Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

3.0

actually i have never heard of the book before. i just stand at the book shop and looking around for a new book (even if i still was reading one) and starcrossed catched my eye. but it took me a while to start reading it because i was not sure why i bought it in first place and it did not realy catch me standing at my bookshelf at home. after running out of books and ideas i gave it a try and i was quite suprised that i could not stop reading. it was hard to put down and i read it in one day that's one of many reasons why i gave four stars because it's not easy to get me glued to the pages like this book does.
it reminds me of twilight and the immortal instruments. i am kind of into the story of two lovers who are not allowed to be together and the drama around it. yes, it is very similar to a lot of other books a have read lately (twilight, immortal instruments, fallen, crescendo etc.) but still i think the mix of the current time with demigoods and greek mythology is a good idea.
and if you are more into good writing skills than the story and charakters itself you might not read books for young adults ;-)

i can't wait to get to read the second book next year in may. i think it's almost cruel to have us wait so long...
