Nice little story, as others have mentioned big spirited away vibes. It just seemed to lack depth somehow - not sure if it was the pacing (rushed and overly crowded plot) or the characters (insta-love, or rather just I didn’t see how/why they fell in love. Supporting characters are one-dimensional and don’t get enough time - why are kirin and namgi at odds? Why is the goddess of moon and memory setting imugi on the city? She just likes being feared?). I rated it relatively higher mainly for the visuals it invoked, but that may be heavily due to my love of ghibli art tbh, not sure how the writing would stand on its own.
