It's just not James Joyce... Woolf is an amazing writer and I'm sure some people will love this book with all their heart but it's almost too jumpy. The fact it mentions both PTSD and homosexuality in the 1920s is amazing but as an actual narrative I just don't think it is close to five stars. Maybe just need to try more woolf.
