This was a nice ending. Feels like the Hiiragi arc ultimately dragged the manga down and the finale was almost like damage control, but thematically it feels appropriate and is fairly sweet. Ultimately, it felt a bit... rushed? Kinda wish there was a chapter or two more to properly conclude it all. It was a shame seeing Akihiko and Haruki get sidelined so hard.
I may come back to this story once the new movies release but it's a shame that the "favorite manga" status this series had going for me could only be maintained throughout the first 5 volumes. The good thing is that thanks to the nature of this series' storytelling it's not very hard to examine a certain arc's ending as the ending of the main story in general so. I'll be living in sweet sweet delusion, I guess.
As for the art - I think vol. 3-5's artstyle is my favorite point in the series. 6-9's art just feels somewhat... off in a way that's directly opposite to the offness in vol. 1.
