listened to this one as an audiobook and i’m sure glad i did. i don’t think i could have finished reading it physically.
i found myself distracted from the book at times despite there being four different POVs. i’d say halfway through the book i had an inkling as to who did the crimes. by the end i was right, but the way it was revealed was lackluster. the plot is predictable, especially if you’re familiar with mystery thrillers.
i found Nicole’s POV the most interesting at first, but as the book went on, it got harder to distinguish between Nicole and Beth. they both shared feelings of disdain and bitterness. i will say i liked the pace, the short chapters, and the narrators were good.
do i hate this book? no. but do i like it? not exactly. am i likely to forget about it in the future? yea. 🥴
