I tend to keep the crime/thrillers as “palette cleansers” between the heavier books I read as I get through them pretty fast, there isn’t alot of character development and usually I don’t get attatched.

When I tell you I sobbed for Jack and his sisters.. for the loss of their mum, for the life they’d been left with, for how it had effected who they were and would forever. I’ve developed a soft spot for Marvel also, those though but but deep down softy characters get me. Although I would say the tortoise is the star of this book
