The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent

5.0

i hate the prologues and the interludes. not because they aren't extremely helpful and needed, but because they are written from a (sometimes semi) omniscient POV.

i almost put the book down before the prologue ended. i'm glad i didn't. i loved this book!

i was recommended this book after finishing all the SJM books and also From Blood and Ash by JLA. i would say this definitely holds more eloquence, it feels like a dance. it flows in the best way.

this book is what i wish Gild was. repression and then release.

in the top 5 of my favorite series i've read this year!
