The Break by Marian Keyes

4.0

Not many people may like reading a story like this, it may be too real or co flicking for some, but I loved that it didn’t sugar coat over how complex and conflicting relationships can be. Stress from family, work, financial, and self confidence etc can all take a toll and this covers a lot of it.
The characters were flawed and vulnerable (and some were also just jerks *cough* Ritchie Aldin) but even though there was still a ‘happy’ ending, they felt real. And there are still the hilarious characters you’d expect from A Marian Keyes novel.
It did feel like it dragged on in some areas, I found myself wishing it was a tad shorter, but not enough to make me think of putting it down.
