The latter half was faster paced then the beginning which is why I’m labeling this as a medium paced read, at least for me. I enjoyed reading this and the writing was beautiful. It was gripping just to read more about Agnes’s life and what really happened the night she and two others are accused of murdering two men. I don’t want to say too much to risk spoiling it, but definitely worth the read if your enjoy historical fiction.
