The story is okay, the concept is interesting but the first half of the book is quite slow. There is a disappointing amount of casual misogyny and the sexualizing of teenagers. The main character

asks to grab a woman's breasts to "prove" he can do what he wants in the realm.

If I wasn't so turned off by the representation of women, the setup for the rest of the series would be interesting.
