All Out: The No-Longer-Secret Stories of Queer Teens Throughout the Ages
by Saundra Mitchell
a solid collection! i admit i skipped one or two stories, and didn't love all of them - but here's my personal favorites:
ROJA by anna-marie mclemore. the collection starts off strong with the story of a trans runaway from the french army and a mexican girl rumored to be a witch. this story drew me in fast, and i consider it the best in the book.
THE SWEET TRADE by natalie parker. a cute story about two girls who run away from their weddings.
BURNT UMBER by mackenzi lee
THE DRESSER AND THE CHAMBERMAID by robin talley
EVERY SHADE OF RED by elliot wake. (i love elliot's writing and the story itself - transgender robin hood - was excellent despite the less than happy ending.)
THE GIRL WITH THE BLUE LANTERN by tess sharpe. a fantasy story! this one was the most my-speed in the collection.
