Um, what the fuck. I had such a bad time reading this, and I’m so glad it’s over now. I’m giving it one star not because the quality of the writing was bad, it was fine, easily readable. But the relentless, miserable, creepy lives of these children just suuuucked to read about, and I wonder, why the fuck would someone write this? What’s the point? What are we supposed to take from this, aside from some kind of lurid true crime-like thrill? No thank you.
