The first half of this book was so slow and dull that I nearly DNFed it. Plus, Matteo was so hostile and rude to Cara that I had trouble liking him at all. I certainly didn’t want to see him matched up with her at that point. I kept going with the book only because I loved Duke Actually so much and wanted to believe this book would improve at some point. And in the second half, it did, especially after the two main characters started to have sex. By the end I was rooting for the couple and invested in their HEA. I’m not sure I can recommend this book, though, because the good stuff comes so late and the first half was such a chore to get through.
