This was such an interesting story! I didn't think I would like it as much as I did, but my dad recommended it. Navajo life and real, "common" war stories are not things I'm familiar with, and this book provided so much fascinating information regarding those things. I think what struck me most was the contrasts: the peace/beauty of the Navajos and the unrest of war; the mistreatment of the Navajo people vs. their integrity in serving their country. Such an impressive group of people!
