Ruled by Elle Kennedy

5.0

Each book in this series continually outdoes the prior. The action and scorching hotness battle to show themselves the clear winner when they tie every time. In RULED, we finally get to delve into Reese; the badass, tough woman that runs Foxworth and rips the balls off of any who challenge her.

We’ve been watching the rising sexual tension between Reese and Rylan for awhile now, and it doesn’t disappoint when we finally get to experience it first hand. Add in Reese’s quiet right-hand man Sloan, and there’s bevy of emotion. The turmoil and tension between the three (as well as between each other as pairs) was deliciously sexy in every possible way. We’ve yet to get to know Sloan and his relationship with Reese, and I really loved their bond and how that affected Rylan, both physically and emotionally. While it may be the hottest in the series, it definitely didn’t disappoint on the Outlaw front. The outlaws are slowly but surely starting their uprising and, man, it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Kennedy manages to capture everything needed in a great novel: love, passion, inner turmoil, and action. Both sides, romance and action, moved forward simultaneously in perfect fashion creating a well-rounded and unputdownable book. RULED went to places I didn’t even see coming and I loved every moment of it. The only bad thing is now I have to wait for the next book to see where the story takes us as well as which love story we get next. Highly recommend this series to those who love romance stories with a side of dystopic action.
