Her: Chronicles of an un-warrior by Monika Bhargava

4.0

It's a collection of poems having her or the female as a centre.

As the writer said in her acknowledgements, "Nothing in here is studied 'serious' , 'have to sit down and write' kind of words. They are more, as I would like to to believe, 'feel' words written in all honesty, in the moment they came visiting." and it's true.

In this poetry collection, the poem ranges from two liners to the long ones.

There are certain short poems which you will definitely love specially the ones which are two liners. They gives a wide scope to think as a reader.

Personally, I consider the power of silence the most and in this collection, there are many poems which reflects the same idea with which I as a reader, connected so much.

The poet has observed the nature and surrounding so deeply that reflects in the poems. From ranging the poems from sunshine to stars, from silence to thunder, from sunflower to rainbow, the poet touches the things which will touch you.

Overall it's a nice read and it gives a vivid scope for your imagination but sometimes in between you have to use dictionary.

I'll recommend it to all the poetry lovers.
