A Painted House
by John Grisham
About the only Grisham story NOT about court cases. This one had me laughing out loud. Grisham's style of writing is so sardonic, you can't help but crack up. One can elicit a lot of symbolism with the unpainted house, the farm vs. the town, the desire to leave vs. the necessity to stay, etc.
