This was a light, fluffy rom-com type thing very much in what I think of as the Hallmark mode: big city girl has to move back to and connect with the rural family she never got a change to know, with a side of falling in love. Harper has a great ear for comedy, and her small-town dynamics are hilarious and spot on; my favorite parts of the book involved plots and counter-plots within a school board committee.
