I thoroughly enjoyed this story and it kept my attention the whole time. I enjoyed the relationship between the FMC and MMC. Their slow-burn romance was balanced well with the light vs dark plot. I am excitedly waiting for the second book.

Summary:
Leo is a princess who loves to bend the rules and is perfectly content being on her own and her freedom. When a neighboring kingdom comes to visit she finds out that her father has been planning an arranged marriage between Leo and Prince Dimitri from said kingdom. Leo decides to run away after discovering something is terribly wrong with the Prince. With the help of Fael, a man she met on one of her secret escapes outside the castle, she manages to flee her kingdom. Upon their travels, Leo discovers Fael's true identity and feels betrayed. Soon after she has to make a decision to choose Fael or leave his life in the fate of others.

The poems every few chapters gave an added touch to the story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Age level: Teen and up
I do not know the series' planned spice level for future books.
