for this to be an adult dark villain retelling, this has very young ya vibes and every character is as flat as paper. no depth, fully one dimensional. it's hard to root for and care about the characters and plot when I can't fully see these characters as people. also this has a bunch of training scenes and those are already boring to me with good writing, and this doesn't even have that. tik tok strikes again with having the worst recs on any platform
