Oliver Twist
by Charles Dickens
Still a good tale, but maybe not what it used to be. Fagin must be referred to as "the Jew" about 183 times. He is dehumanize in many ways and said to have teeth more fitting of a dog or rat. And no scene of poverty is complete without the word "filth" and an implication of moral depravity. This is all a bit tiring.
