Patricia Wants to Cuddle by Samantha Allen

4.0

A good cute little read to accompany me during the busy festival period. Not so distracting that I couldn't keep half an eye on my job, but cool and twisty enough to keep coming back to it in my little breaks.

Felt a little one note at times, though does a pretty good job of sidestepping and sometimes investigating the inherent misogyny of the subject matter.

Its got a bit of a rep as a specifically/uniquely queer story and I think its maybe more metaphorical than anything else. Like there are sapphics here, sure, but its not as in yer face as I was expecting/hoping from the outset.
