Yes, you read that right - I listened to a musical in the Audible app. I am a huge fan of musicals and I've seen some great live productions like Hadestown, Hamilton, and Dear Evan Hansen.
Breathe takes place in five homes during the early lockdown days of the pandemic. Each chapter focuses on a different home and show how the pandemic shaped our lives and affected everyone.
Although I am listening to the musical three years post its premiere, it was written and produced online in real-time as events unfolded in 2020. I would not have appreciated this musical if I heard it in 2020 but now I can listen and remember the hope I had that one day we will survive this.
I would not recommend if you hate musicals since the entire audiobook is a musical number or if you don't want to be reminded about early pandemic days.
