This book had me hooked from the beginning. It gave me Sugar Apple Fairy Tale and Acotar vibes. The similarities between this book and Acotar are very obvious. The book was also very wordy and super repetitive. There were so many unnecessary details that made the story drag out. Less unnecessary details and more world building please. I also disliked how Adeline is very naive and always second guessing everything. I did enjoy the slow burn romance and fated mates. Kieran is very understanding and supportive of Adeline. Their love seems juvenile, but it’s understandable. She’s young and doesn’t have much experience in the romance department and he wants to be a doting and caring partner. Skylar and Archie can catch these hands. I hated Archie since the moment he was introduced, but I expected better from Skylar. That ending shocked me even though I felt it coming. I need the next book asap. I did receive this book as an arc from the author. This is my honest review.
