Bakemonogatari Volume 2 continues to be relatively slow but does continue to explore an interesting world. The artwork is beautiful and there are some incredibly intricate full page spreads that demonstrate the artist's skill. This volume feels partially like a recap of volume one while also introducing a new character that the story will follow next. I am interested to continue this series but I think I need to temper my expectations and understand that this is going to be a slower series.
