The writing / prose is shallow, the pacing is weird, and I don't care about authors trying to make horror be, well, horrible, through the use of gratuitous rape, abuse, child rape and child death, etc etc. Also the ableism. Oh crazy people being violent! Because being mentally ill makes you automatically violent towards others? No thanks.
