This collection of short stories attempts to gain insights into human nature by describing fantastical and supernatural situations.

I did not know what I thought this book was going to be about, but this wasn’t it. I say that in a VERY GOOD way. I was immediately drawn in by the first story and I continued to be intrigued by almost every one of them. The characters were likeable and relatable, even when dealing with otherworldly obstacles. Not every story was totally for me, but that’s kind of the fun thing about short story collections! I surprisingly found that I enjoyed some of the more sci-fi leaning stories the most, even though it is not typically a genre I enjoy.

This book felt a lot like a collection of Black Mirror episodes, so if that’s your jam the. I definitely recommend picking this up!
