People We Meet on Vacation
by Emily Henry
I've always been somewhat critical of romance books, but this one is truly worth both time and money. It serves as a nice escape from reality.
Let me share what I appreciate about this book, which has made me enjoy the story:
1. There's no over-obsession with height differences. This aspect has been overused, and I find it refreshing that it's not a focal point here.
2. There's no obsession with the female lead being a fragile, small girl with numerous problems. Both characters have their flaws, and I appreciate how they overcome them.
3. The chemistry is well-built, unlike stories where the main characters start making out after just three meetings.
