A book I would love to read again for the first time! A Botanical Daughter is a brilliant imagining of the possibilty of fungal systems attaining consciousness, which certainly makes a change from fungal zombies!
A beautiful telling of creation, found families and love, regardless of societies views on it.
There was a certain scene I think could have been omitted which makes itself quite obvious when you reach it, but I'm very glad to have had this as a kindle read for the amount of dictionary checking I ended up doing.
I'm certainly looking forward to whatever Medlock writes next, especially if it remains in the horror genre!
