Wow, talk about a very intense prologue to this book! What is an Ihis? What would cause Tommi to want to beg for death? Who is Wil Garman? Where is this book set in location wise? What was it about Tommi that caused an old lady to choke on a biscotti? Who is Mari? How does Tommi know her? What do Tommi and Mari do for work? Why is Tommi going to New Zealand? What is she looking for there? What question did she ask her mother one day after Muay Thai class that had her pulling off to the side of the road and sobbing uncontrollably? When Tommi decides to seek out her father, just to see who he is and what he's like without actually talking to him, what does she find out about herself? What happens when she finds a bunch of half-siblings? What happens while she's in New Zealand? When she runs away, who tracks her down and what happens? I loved the play on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I could not stop laughing at the whole scene around that title of movie. This was a really fun book to read! I recommend it. I won't say anything more because I don't want to give away anything.
