I really liked reading the book. From all the reviews on goodreads, I expected to hate Nate, but I found him endearing. Dreo, too, was adorable - his intense feelings for Nate, his expressiveness, all of it had me squealing and shipping the two in my head. When they were together, dead God. It was thrilling - I thought that the pace at which their relationship moved was wayyy too fast, but all the same, Nate has had so much experience with men, that he knew Dreo was different, and even if Dreo didn't have that advantage, I trusted his steady feelings for Nate, so I wasn't worried. It was so wonderful to read about Nate's family, and how happy everyone was. It was ridiculous, but I loved the warmth and the witty banter. It was funny - not very, but pleasantly amusing.
All the kissing scenes though *frantically fans self* - those were VERY well written. Whoo. Good stuff - Mary Calmes really knows how to write sensually (although she did repeat words. Like Nate just kept being "undone" since he met Dreo - and not just in bed, like, he'd "come undone" if Dreo called him his boyfriend, and I get that it's a huge big cute deal, but also, that's a little too strong of a reaction). Although all the physical stuff was entertaining, I wished there had been more depth to their interactions - I never really understood why they meant so much to each other.
Overall, this book did not have a lot of conflict, but it did tell a story of how two people came together.
