what did I just read? I need some time to process 😥 wow

Reading this short story without any prior knowledge was such a thrilling experience! Even though it's short, it's incredibly impactful, much more than the longer books I've read. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The writing style is beautiful and makes you feel a lot of different emotions. I realize that I prefer writing with more prose and this story was a great payoff in that area.

Some readers might find the changes in tense confusing at first, but once you understand why they're there, it all makes sense. This was my first time reading anything by this author and let me say that it will not be my last! I just wished she would expand more on this story and write an entire book lol
