Hana by Alena Mornštajnová

5.0

A fun, light-hearted read. It also shows some important bits of 20th century history, so you should maybe read it.

The novel is quite interesting, structurally. I really liked how the author used the jumps between the 'present' and the 'future' timelines to add context and information regarding various characters, most especially Hana; and how they iteratively change how we percieve the scenes that already happened in the first parts of the book. Because of that, each time the same scene is mentioned again, my opinions on the people involved is different than it was the last time. For me, that was the most alluring/thought-provoking part of the book.
