As a Sámi descendant, I think this is a good account of our folklore for a non-Sámi person. She does note and reference our storytellers so that you can read more from their perspectives directly too. Since she traveled throughout Sápmi, she captured our differences as we are one non-monolithic people with distinct regions, not separate tribes/nations. 4 stars merely because it’s a secondhand account.
