I audiobooked this going into it I wasn’t expecting a dystopian novel so I was a bit lost at times until I got it together lol  I probably missed lines here and there on the audio too which made me more confused.
I feel like it was commentary on how our world will/could be if we keep going the way we are and I quite enjoyed it! Despite being a bit lost the whole time I wanted to keep picking it up and was thoroughly enjoying its odd and mysterious nature.
Cute little dystopian book, the audio narrator added to the story too I feel, the less expressive nature being like how this time people were chastised for being expressive made sense. The write too I especially noticed the use of “said” and ONLY “said” when dialogue was happening. MUST have been intentional on the author’s part because thats writing 101 use other synonyms for said but they didn’t. Again making the world seem more dull and not expressive. Cool little read glad I listened and it will probably stick with me
