I love Rachel Lynn Soloman. She writes amazing characters, meaningful themes, and diverse representation. You cannot go wrong with one of her books. This story was so fun. It brought me right back to my senior year which was many moons ago. I love that nostalgic feeling. I wish I had quite the adventure that Rowan and Neil had in one night.

Their blooming relationship felt so real to me even though they were only 18. Maybe it was because I married my high school sweetheart, but I want to believe it was because Rachel wrote them perfectly. I could see myself in Rowan and my husband in Neil. We were never enemies, but I would like to think we had the witty banter that these two had. That is how relatable Rachel makes her characters.  I am not Jewish, but I feel like Rachel's representation was perfect. Rachel is an own voices Jewish author, and I loved that she included that in this book a lot.

Also, we need to talk about the romance genre rep. It was perfect. I love seeing an author really get the romance genre and really explain its many merits. Breaking those stereotypes, especially in a YA novel, is just a great use of plot.

I want to read this book again already. I want to pick it up for the first time all over again. I can't recommend this book enough. READ IT!
