A Witch Alone (the Apprentice Witch #2), Volume 2 by James Nicol

4.0

Thanks to the @kidlitexchange for the review copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

The second book in the Apprentice Witch series starts quickly after the first ended, with Arianwyn on a well needed rest back at home with her grandmother. While there, she is tasked with trying to find the Book of Glyphs from its hiding place in the Great Wood, which is being overrun with hex. She must find the book, and protect Lull from hex and other magical mishaps.

I enjoyed the second installment - it was nice to see Arianwyn more confident in her skills as a witch and more at home in her new town. The spreading of hex and the consequences for the Great Wood brought a new twist to the series and I can't wait for the next installment to come out!
